EDI order adjudication engine

Automated validation of inbound EDI purchase orders on BPCS 6.2, across millions of rows.

The client

A multi-billion-dollar food manufacturer

The problem

Inbound EDI purchase orders had to be checked against contracts, prices and inventory across multiple warehouses before they could be accepted, and exceptions needed to reach the right people.

What we built

  • Db2 for i stored procedures that adjudicate each EDI order
  • Purchase-order validation and contract-price verification
  • Multi-warehouse inventory checks
  • Exception routing for orders that need a person

The outcome

Order validation runs as a repeatable, rules-driven process inside the ERP instead of by hand, with exceptions routed to the right team.
